Music and dance tradition of the prefecture of Preveza – January 2008

The non-profit association “Greek Dance Archives”, which methodically records and studies Greek dance from all over the country, undertook the presentation of music and dance tradition of the prefecture of Preveza,  “Guide to the Region of Epirus”, as part of the program  “Society of Information”.

The material collected by members and associates of “Greek Dance Archives” on the music and dance tradition of the region formed the main data base for this undertaking.  The existing data was supplemented by on-site observation and participation in the activities of communities, semi-urban centers of the prefecture, and the city of Preveza.  All relevant references were also followed up.
