The Cultural Association of Arhangelos Vlachs

Arhangelos  is a mountainous frontier village, built at 850m on the slopes of Mount Paikon  in the north of the prefecture of Pella, on the border with Skopia.  It is a small settlement rich in tradition and natural beauty and is full of life despite being far from urban developments (the nearest town is Aridaia, 40km away, and the region’s municipality headquarters is situated in Exaplatanos, 35km away).   The residents are hard-working and progressive, and it was the energetic youth of the village who founded their Cultural Association in 1980, with one if its founding members being Christos Tentzerakis, the president of “Greek Dance Archives”.
