“PEOPLE TO PEOPLE CONTACT ACTIVITIES - LIVING TOGETHER”
It gives us great pleasure to announce that the GREEK DANCE ARCHIVES and the FOUNDATION HASDER OF CYPRUS have worked for the second part of the European Program “People to People Contact Activities - Living together”, which aims at the expansion of communication and the exchange of knowledge and experience on issues of folk culture, which would contribute to understanding of differences and would promote cooperation and friendship between young members of both Sectors.
The third part of this European Project will take place in Cyprus, end of November 2009.
Members and colleagues of GREEK DANCE ARCHIVES and of the Association HASDER OF CYPRUS, together with young members of KEXOT -Cultural Center of Tripolis , “Apollon” Cultural Association of Ancient Corinthos and “Promaxoi Cultural Association” of Pella, have attended to the programmed activities from 2nd of July to 11th of July 2009, so that the European Program has achieved its goals and the 80 participating young people, musicians, dancers, teachers and dance instructors, have created the best impression and fulfilled all the objectives of the program.
The Youth project was hosted by the Hotel Paradosiako in Pella of Macedonia- land of Alexander the Great-, and meetings were held in the beautiful Halls and Lounges of this traditional Hotel.
A welcome was given by the European Parliament Member and Honorary President of “Greek Dance Archives” , Mr. Ioannis Gklavakis, by the Honorable Mayor of the City of Aridaia, Mr. Petros Zerzis, by the President of Hasder Foundation, Mr. Ali Nebih and by the President of Greek Dance Archives , Mr. Christos Tentzerakis.
The General Coordinator of this second part of the E.U. Program held in Pella - Greece, Mrs. Mica Pappa Sevou, delivered opening remarks.
